Betty Briceño is an experienced art advisor and market specialist with over a decade of expertise guiding collectors, artists, and institutions across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She helps clients build meaningful collections that not only reflect their personal narratives but also hold long-term value as cultural and financial assets.
With a background in institutional development and art market strategy, Betty has held senior roles at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami; the City of Miami Beach’s Cultural Affairs and Art in Public Places programs; and served as studio manager for renowned artist Pedro Reyes in Mexico City. Her cross-sector fluency and collaborative approach make her a trusted partner in acquisitions, commissions, and collection development, ensuring projects are both artistically compelling and strategically sound.
Betty holds a master’s degree in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art, London, a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad Central de Venezuela, and a postgraduate diploma in Museum Studies from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Before concentrating her career in the art world, Betty worked as political advisor for the Embassy of Canada in Venezuela.
She is based between Chicago and Miami, where she shares a life steeped in the arts with her husband, orchestral conductor Chad Goodman.
